When is a self-hosted group scheduling poll: when2meet’s availability grid, rebuilt API-first.
Everyone paints the times they’re free, and the heatmap shows where the group overlaps.
What’s different
Two kinds of yes. People can mark times as available or if needed. When ranks
slots with “if needed” worth a third of a full yes, so a wall of reluctant maybes doesn’t
outrank a real consensus.
Time zones done right. Answers are stored as absolute instants, so someone in Berlin and
someone in Los Angeles fill in the same row and mean the same moment, including across
daylight-saving changes.
A grid that works on a phone. Long-press to start painting, so the page still scrolls
normally under your thumb.
Agent-ready. The public page and the organizer dashboard are ordinary clients of the same
API, and an MCP endpoint lets Claude create a poll, check who has answered, and report the best
times.
